ESkoolHub is a product of Elevate Consulting Services ("Elevate", "we", "us"). We provide a school communication platform used by schools, their staff and parents. This policy explains what data we handle and why. By using ESkoolHub, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who controls the data
Your school is the data controller of its students' and parents' information; Elevate (through ESkoolHub) acts as a data processor on the school's instructions. We only process school data to provide and improve the service.
2. Information we collect
- School & student records: names, classes/sections, roll numbers, attendance, marks, fee records and related details provided by the school.
- Parent & staff accounts: name, phone number, email, and the child/children linked to the account.
- Usage data: app version, device type and diagnostic logs, used to keep the service reliable and secure.
3. How we use information
- To deliver notifications, fee reminders, report cards, attendance alerts and other features.
- To provide support and communicate service updates.
- To secure the platform, prevent misuse and comply with law.
- To improve our features using aggregated, de-identified insights.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use student information for advertising.
4. Sharing
We share data only with: (a) the student's own school and linked guardians; (b) trusted service providers (such as cloud hosting and payment processors) under strict confidentiality; and (c) authorities where required by law.
5. Data security
Information is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is role-based and logged, and we follow industry-standard safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.
6. Data retention
We retain school data for as long as the school's account is active. On request or on account closure, we delete or return data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
7. Children's privacy
Student accounts are created and managed by schools and guardians. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children without school or guardian authorisation.
8. Your rights
Parents and schools may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data. Parents should contact their school first; schools may contact us at any time.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the app or by email, and the "last updated" date above will change.
